VERSE:
Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On
that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain
that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.
-- Romans 3:27-28, New International Version

THOUGHT:
The words from Paul should be our thought for the day. If
we boast about our works and the way we uphold the law, then what about when
we do not? What then?
Hear the Good News, what we
have is not by our being "up to the task." What we have is a
gift. That gift is the gift of God's presence in our life. This
gift is given to us by faith and faith alone. Therefore, if you want to
brag, brag on Sunday, at church, with all of the others that come to worship,
celebrating God's activity in your life. In fact, why not celebrate all
God is doing in your life every day!
PRAYER:
Thank you, Father, for putting me in a situation to
succeed and to experience your good graces and blessings. Help me to
realize how blessed I am. Moreover, help me to share Your blessings with
others. Thank you, Jesus, for re-introducing me to The Father.
Thank you, Holy Spirit, for cleansing me and making me new. Thank you, God,
for your incredible grace. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
