VERSE:
Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
-- Proverbs 2:11, New International Version
<http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?Proverbs+2:11>
THOUGHT:
What a good thought. How often do we just jump the gun and
make arbitrary decisions without so much as a prayer or a though to understand
what the decision might mean. This proverb offers a great guideline to
life. Be thoughtful in all you do. Understand who you are and what
you are about.
Hear the Good News, God gives
us this ability, this gift. The gift to be patient, the gift to learn
from your mistakes. Therefore, knock and the door shall be opened unto
you, seek and you shall find. Wait on the Lord's guidance, long to live
for him as a person of character.
PRAYER:
Father, create in me a heart of patience. Help to develop my
character in such a way that is pleasing to You. Keep me mindful of my
surroundings as I make decisions that effect other people. Most of
all give me a heart that is full of wisdom and integrity. Finally, thank
You for all You have done and all You will continue to do. In Jesus'
name I pray. Amen.
