VERSE:
"Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your
servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation..."
-- Luke 2:29-30, New International Version

THOUGHT:
Old Simeon uttered these words when he saw the Christ child.
What a sight it must have been. You know, we, as mere human beings, seek
out such a vision, but some don't quiet know what it is they are looking for.
Have you ever taken a moment to think about what your life is about?
Where it is you feel your life is supposed to go? And, with the utmost
honesty, feel you were put on this earth to do or experience something truly
great and life changing?
Hear the Good
News, you were put on this earth to be a part of something special. I
believe it all begins with our experience of Christ. When this happens,
our life changes. We see through a different set of lenses. Our
purpose become clear and the that which we reach for appears before our very
eyes. What is it you ask?
I think you know.
Take a second, look at where
you are. Look at where you have been. Can you feel it, that sense
of excitement, where the answer is just on the tip of your tongue.
It would not be totally
right for me to tell you and rob you of the discovery, but I will say it is
around you, within you, children see it, it is to come and often, we see
glimpses of it in our world. Search yourself and discover what God has
called you to do and you too will understand the "something special"
PRAYER:
Righteous Father, open my eyes that I may see, glimpses of You
which will set me free. Open my ears that I may hear the truth that
surrounds me everywhere. Allow me to "discover" that special
part of my life that is a reflection of Your call upon my life. It is in
his name, Jesus Christ, that I pray. Amen.
