"This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth."

Ink is to contract as Relationship is to covenant. Preparing to go to seminary, there were a couple of things I needed to do. one of which was to take a test called the MAT, Miller's Analogy Test. I thought it to be an odd entrance exam, but none the less took the test. The test was about seeing the relationship between two words or terms and identifying the connection between the problem at hand. Relationships, they are everywhere, but most importantly, there is an important one between God and all of creation.

Hear the Good News, God has not only established a relationship with us, but a covenant, one that identifies you and me as His and God as ours. People come and go in our life, and if we are lucky, when they come back, there is still a relationship there. Personally, I have truly been blessed. Today, look outside and see all that God has placed before, the people you encounter, blessings, the flora, blessings. Family, Children, parents, friends and colleagues, all blessings. Enjoy your covenant today.

Gracious Father, my Creator, Caller of my life, Promiser of my future, thank You, for the ink of our covenant that is relationship. Help me to remember all that is given and I am responsible for. Life it is a precious thing, for strangers and friends alike. Thank you for the people in my life that continue to be blessings. Thank You Father, for all You have done in my life and all You will continue to do. Amen.
